Dessert Getaway

Privacy Policy

Dessert Getaway for iPhone. Effective 2026-10-26.

Dessert Getaway has no accounts, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number or location. This page lists what the game keeps on your device, which outside services receive data when you play, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Who is responsible

Dessert Getaway is published by Jun Zhi Wang, an individual developer. For privacy questions or requests, write to junzhi1117@gmail.com.

2. What stays on your device

The game saves your best scores, today's daily challenge result, sound, music and haptics settings, and which tutorial steps and intro you have seen. This save file lives only on your iPhone. We cannot read it, and deleting the app deletes it.

3. What outside services receive

ServiceWhy we use itWhat it receives
Firebase Analytics (Google)To see how far players get, where they quit, and how long a session lasts, so we can balance the game. Analytics stays off until the consent step finishes, and stays off if you decline in the consent form.Game events (for example a run started, how deep it went, an ad shown or finished), a random app instance ID, app version, iPhone model, iOS version, language, approximate country from your IP address.
Firebase Remote Config (Google)To turn features such as revive, leaderboards or the daily challenge on or off without releasing a new version.A Firebase installation ID, app version, device and language details are sent when the game asks for the settings. This request happens even if you decline analytics.
SentryTo find out why the game crashed or froze, and fix it.Crash and error reports: the error and what the game was doing, app version, iPhone model, iOS version, memory and battery state. The game does not attach your IP address, a user identifier or screenshots; Sentry's server still sees the connecting IP address while receiving the report.
Google AdMobTo show the optional rewarded ad you can watch after getting caught. Ads are how the game is paid for.Your IP address, device and ad interaction data (ad requested, shown, finished). If you allow tracking, also the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA).

Google's general privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. These services process data on servers that include the United States. Firebase and Sentry data is linked to a random identifier, not to your name. We do not sell your data.

Analytics events are kept for up to 14 months, the longest period Google Analytics allows. Sentry keeps error reports for its default period, about 90 days.

4. Advertising consent and tracking

Apple's tracking prompt (ATT). On iPhone, the game asks whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, AdMob does not receive your advertising identifier, and the game plays the same. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

Google's consent form (UMP). In regions where the law requires it, such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, Google's User Messaging Platform shows a consent form before any ad is requested. Your choice is stored on your device. In those regions you can reopen it from Settings, under Privacy, then Privacy options. If you decline, no ads are requested, so the watch-an-ad option does not appear.

The legal basis for ads and advertising identifiers is your consent. For crash reports and analytics it is our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and improving it.

5. Game Center

The game has two Game Center leaderboards: Tonight's Great Escape (daily) and Best Score. If you are signed in to Game Center, your score is sent to Apple when a run ends, and your nickname and rank appear on the leaderboard. Apple handles this under Apple's privacy policy. We receive no Game Center data beyond the scores and ranks shown in the game. You can play without signing in; your scores then stay on your iPhone.

6. Children

Dessert Getaway is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, write to junzhi1117@gmail.com.
